Sphere #2 incomplete

The main purpose of this series of projects is pursuing an universal principle about the connections between patterns and structures, visually and physically.

The New Version of Soap Dish

Actually, the new version comes from the same series of sketches and concepts, but I simplified the pattern a little, and make it become symmetrical. It still keeps the original idea that the user can put sponge underneath to soak soapy water.

The Soap Dish for Ivory

I designed the Soap Dish for Ivory, since the Ivory soap is famous for its simple, natural, not so much flavor with it, and always in white. I tried to combine these ideas with natural, organic and simple color. Therefore, I decided to use Chinese culture to create a natural pattern with the meaning of good fortune, and also considered its utility function for users. Since the pattern is a little complicated, I simplify the color. Because the soap is always white, I paint the dish into black to create a very sharp contrast, and also make it more suitable with our modern life.
