The MAILBOX DESIGN for PRESIDENT MAO TSE-TUNG

It is a conceptual project, the mailbox for a famous person. I picked Mao as my subject and designed a mailbox for him. It's a kind of black humor to me, because you can see the mailbox in the picture that is made by chip board, but not by metal. Because Mao asked all the people in China to collect any kinds of metal refine that into steel in 1957, which was called "All the People Refine Steel." Therefore, there isn't any extra metal for Mao's mailbox. By the way, one of the purposes of steel-refining was to "liberate" Taiwan. Actually, I don't know if it is true or not, but at least some people believed that was one of the reasons which is based on the movie directed by Yimou Zhang, Life Time, in 1994.
Some other things which I want to mention are that the mailbox box is approved by our almighty party, and on the top of the mailbox I excerpted the favorite slogan of Mao, “Serve the People.” And Of course, our beloved national flag always pops up.
